Abu Jayed, Bangladesh’s Test pacer who fell out of reckoning, feels that his exclusion from the 16-member squad for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, has little to do with his form. Members of the national selection panel claimed that they wanted to pick bowlers who are genuinely quick rather than medium-fast as they feel the need for the induction of raw pace in their setup in order to thrive in both home and away assignments. Jayed also didn’t get an opportunity to play in New Zealand and South Africa despite getting picked for both tours.

“I’ve taken 10 wickets in the last two Tests in Mirpur with this pace. I don’t think pace is the issue here.” – Abu Jayedhttps://t.co/lzyGTUK2XS
