LSG captain KL Rahul has been penalized with INR 24 lakhs for his side’s slow overrate in the win against Mumbai Indians. It is the team’s second offence and the remainder of the playing XI will be fined INR 6 lakhs or 25% of the match fee, whichever is lower. Earlier, skipper Rishabh Pant, batting coach Pravin Amre and all-rounder Shardul Thakur of the Delhi Capitals had been sanctioned and fined for a breach of the IPL’s code of conduct following the controversial finish to the game against Rajasthan Royals.
