Lizelle Lee was named the leading woman cricketer in the world by Wisden Almanack after a prolific 2021, wherein she averaged a humongous 90.28 with the bat in ODI cricket. Her exploits include a spectacular series against India in which she amassed 288 runs in four innings. Besides, Pakistan keeper-bat Mohammad Rizwan has earned the title of leading T20 cricketer in the world. Joe Root was deservedly adjudged the leading cricketer of the year after a stellar calendar year in which he scored 1,708 Test runs in 15 Tests, the third-most in history.
