Mahendra Singh Dhoni used his razor-sharp cricketing brain to great effect to dismiss Kieron Pollard with his bizarre yet strategic field placement during Chennai Super Kings’ win over Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.
The 41-year-old positioned a very straight fielder in the 17th over off the bowling of Maheesh Theekshana. Pollard walked right into the trap as the off-spinner dished an innocuous slower, short ball which was lofted down the ground to Dube who held on to a dolly at the boundary.
