Chennai Super Kings opted to field against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2022 clash on Thursday. CSK have made two changes, replacing Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan with Dwaine Pretorius and Mitchell Santner. Mumbai made three changes, bringing in Riley Meredith, Daniel Sams and Hrithik Shokeen.

While MI continue to search for their elusive first win of the season having lost all their six games so far, CSK have managed to secure one win and tasted defeat on five occasions. MI captain Rohit Sharma is hoping the recent trend of teams winning after batting first will continue.
