Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant says his team needs to quickly fix the "pattern" of losing wickets in a heap and look to play fewer dot balls in the middle overs to turn things around after suffering twin defeats in the IPL. Delhi Capitals failed to capitalise on the platform after opener Prithvi Shaw's blistering knock of 61 off 31 balls, losing three wickets in a jiffy for just seven runs, to eventually end their innings at a below-par 149 for 3.

Capitals opened their IPL season with a win over Mumbai Indians but have endured two consecutive defeats at the hands of Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. "As a batting unit, we have to find ways to improve ourselves. In the last two-three matches, we are seeing a pattern, we need to work not to lose wickets in a bunch and play less dot balls in the middle overs," Pant reflected.
