Wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis has been handed a national contract by Cricket Australia for the first time, having made the cut in the list of 20 men’s cricketers for the year 2022-23. Mitch Marsh, Scott Boland, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Swepson, who were awarded an upgrade in 2021-22, have all retained their national contracts.
Inglis, 27, recently made his international debut back in February, in a T20I against Sri Lanka at the SCG. Players who missed out are Marcus Harris, Ben McDermott, Jhye Richardson, Kane Richardson, Moises Henriques, Ashton Turner and Matthew Wade.
