Lucknow Super Giants proved that defending a target was well within their powers as they earned a gritty 12-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are yet to open their account. For large parts of it, Hyderabad, the chasing side did look in a lot of control. But a couple of obstacles meant they ended up on the wrong side of the result. The first came with Avesh Khan getting rid of both the well-set openers. Kane Williamson miscued an attempted paddle to be snaffled at short fine leg, while Abhishek Sharma ended up ballooning a cutter.
