Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the plot early in the chase and could never come to challenge Rajasthan Royals in the campaign opener of the respective teams in IPL 2022. The Sanju Samson-led side dominated in all departments. There were useful cameos from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer and Devdutt Paddikal, and they backed up the brilliant batting display with an inspired bowling performance. Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult returned a brace each and confined SRH to 14 for 3 – the joint lowest score in IPL powerplay.
The @rajasthanroyals start their #TATAIPL campaign on a winning note.
Three wickets for @yuzi_chahal and two wickets apiece for Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna as #RR win by 61 runs.
