(Photo) BCCI mulling deterrents for player withdrawals in IPL

The Board of Control for Cricket in India is mulling over a policy that would prevent players from backing out of the IPL, without adequate reason, as per Cricbuzz. The move comes after concerns raised by some franchises at the recent meeting of the Governing Council of the league. There was a debate among the members to devise a way of arresting a trend of players pulling out of the tournament after being bought for a small fee at the auction. Normally, injury or international commitments are considered acceptable. However, in recent times, there have been pullouts for other reasons as well. Like, Jason Roy wanted to spend quality time with family and work on his game.
