Who laid the foundation of the chase for Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening game against Chennai Super Kings? It was their new recruit and opener Ajinkya Rahane. Starting with some delectable drives and a stunning pulled six off Adam Milne, Rahane zipped off the blocks in fine fashion. He continued in an enterprising vein but CSK hit back at the other end through Dwayne Bravo who got rid of both Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana in succession. His 44 set the tone in the small chase, despite minor obstacles.
