(Video) Shreyas Iyer kicks off KKR captaincy on a high note

Kolkata Knight Riders kickstarted IPL 2022 on a promising note, picking up a facile win. Chennai Super Kings managed 131, headlined by a classic 50 from former skipper MS Dhoni as he took the game deep before exploding. But it did not prove to be enough on the opening day of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. CSK had managed 47 in the last three overs with the partnership between Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja worth 70 off 56 balls. As it turned out, all it did was delay the impending loss.

Brief Scores: Chennai Super Kings 131/5 in 20 overs (MS Dhoni 50*; Umesh Yadav 2-20) lost to Kolkata Knight Riders 133/4 in 18.3 overs (Ajinkya Rahane 44; Dwayne Bravo 3-20) by 6 wickets
