The first hour of the morning was wicketless as the West Indies openers added fifty runs, but B Ben Stokes broke the partnership thereafter by trapping Kraigg Brathwaite LBW. After Brathwaite’s dismissal, Overton troubled the top order with his well-directed bouncers. Campbell was dinged on the helmet twice and Brooks copped a blow on the midriff as well. The West Indian batters were put under the cosh by that aggressive spell from Overton, and England claimed a couple of wickets to show for it as the hosts slipped to 69/3 from 50/0.
