Lightning struck near a cricket ground in Namibia, forcing an abandonment of a Twenty20 match between Ireland Wolves and a Namibian team on Monday, March 21. The match was eventually awarded to the home side which was leading by the virtue of the DLS method. The match was being conducted at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in the capital city of Windhoek in Namibia. The Wolves, the second string side of Ireland, are in Namibia, which punched above its weight during last year’s Twenty20 World Cup in UAE having qualified for the Super 12 stage, for an eight-match series comprising three T20s and five 50-over games.
