(Photo) Smith, Khawaja reach fifties to put Australia back on track

Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja put Australia back on track with a century stand on the opening day of the final Test after Shaheen Afridi had rocked the visitors early with the new ball. Both Smith and Khawaja hit half-centuries to guide the visitors to 145/2 at Tea.

Once Australia won the toss, they had no apprehension in batting first on a wicket that was expected to assist the spinners towards the end of the game. However, they were jolted early as Shaheen removed David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne within the space of three balls. Warner was trapped leg-before-wicket and Labuschagne nicked his second delivery behind.
