For the second consecutive day, the bat dominated the ball as England finished on 507 for 9 declared while the West Indies responded with 71 for 1, trailing by 436, when the stumps were drawn on Day 2 of the Barbados Test. In aggregate, only seven wickets fell across three sessions during the course of the day. After declaring their innings, Joe Root would have hoped to make a few incisions into West Indies’ batting order in the final session, and Yorkshire paceman Matthew Fisher delivered the goods as he picked up his maiden Test scalp.
