Mark Wood, the England quick, will not take part in IPL 2022 after picking up a right elbow injury during the first Test against West Indies in North Sound last week. Wood had been snapped up by the new Lucknow Super Giants franchise for INR 7.5 crore (USD 1 million approx.) at the IPL mega auction in February. However, Wood’s participation in the IPL was in jeopardy once he had walked out of the drawn first Test last week after sending down just 17 overs because of an impingement in his right elbow.
