West Indies won the honours in the opening session of Day 2, first bowling out England for 311, and backing it up with their openers giving the side a healthy start, going to lunch unscathed with 44/0 in 10 overs, trailing by 267. After having been shot down to 48/4 early in the innings, that England managed to reach 311 was thanks largely to Jonny Bairstow’s century that saved his side the blushes. After breaking the Bairstow-Chris Woakes stand that reaped 71 runs, the hosts got rid of England’s lower order fairly quickly with Seales bagging a four-fer.
