Rohit Sharma’s Test captaincy has begun on a promising note with India thumping Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Rohit has become the first cricketer since Polly Umrigar in December 1955 to lead India to an innings victory in his first match as Test captain. India played in a dominant fashion throughout the match with Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin’s all-round performances laying the foundation for the comprehensive triumph.
A perfect beginning to his Test captaincy 👌👌
