Jason Roy has pulled out of IPL 2022 for personal reasons. The dashing England opener, who was snapped up by new franchise Gujarat Titans at his base price of INR 2 crore, stated the cricket in the bio-bubbles had taken a toll on him over the last three years. Roy was in top form during the Pakistan Super League, racking up 303 runs for Quetta Gladiators at a strike-rate of 170.22. Participating in the IPL would have meant another two hectic months in the confines of a bio-bubble. Gujarat Titans are yet to confirm a replacement.
