Sri Lanka lost the plot chasing an enormous 200-run target, losing six wickets for just 97 runs as they eventually went on to lose the T20I series opener by a heavy margin of 62 runs. It was a walk in the park for India, who have managed to develop an excellent habit of winning ever since Rohit Sharma took over the reigns in the white-ball format. Sri Lanka chose to bowl to have a target in front and to neutralize the dew factor. But dew wasn’t present today and the pitch slowed down appreciably as the game progressed, making strokeplay difficult in the second dig.
