Ireland and the United Arab Emirates sealed their spots at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia with comprehensive wins over Oman and Nepal respectively in the T20 World Cup Qualifier A at Muscat on February 22. Fine innings from Vriitya Aravind and Muhammad Waseem saw the UAE post an imposing 175-7. In reply, Nepal collapsed as Ahmed Raza snared his maiden fifer. In the other semifinal, Oman lost the plot in reply to Ireland’s total of 165-7 to lose by a massive margin of 56 runs.
