Lauren Down’s unscathed 64, her 76-run partnership with Katey Martin for the seventh wicket, and Frances Mackay’s cameo lower down the order helped New Zealand Women beat India by three wickets in the third ODI and win the five-match series with two matches to go in Queenstown on Friday. When the victory was sealed, Down hit Deepti Sharma for a six over the bowler’s head first ball of the final over, making it the second-highest successful chase in the history of women’s ODI cricket.
