Although Sri Lanka lost the opening two games of the T20I series against Australia, the visitors had opportunities to end on the right side of the result in both matches. However, the third affair played in Canberra turned out to be a damp squib as Sri Lanka could muster only 121 and crashed to a six-wicket loss. With the series already lost, Sri Lanka would eye a couple of consolation wins. Ahead of the inconsequential fourth T20I at the MCG, the lack of top-order runs is one aspect of the game where Sri Lanka need to improve.
