Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s cameos, after Ravi Bishnoi’s sterling 2 for 17 on T20I debut, fired India to a 1-0 series lead with a six-wicket win over West Indies on Wednesday. Bishnoi’s double whammy in an over had West Indies gasping in the middle-overs before Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard steered them to a respectable 157/7. India’s chase was off to a flier courtesy Rohit Sharma’s 19-ball 40 but a middle-overs hiccup had them in a fix. Thanks to the enterprising Yadav, India got over the line with seven balls to spare.
