The message in both the Indian and West Indies’ camp in the last couple of days would have been to shift the focus from the IPL auctions to the task at hand, as Rohit Sharma mentioned in his pre-match presser. Pollard, on the other hand, was pleased that several players from the current West Indies squad found takers in the IPL mega auction. India are playing six T20Is in the next 11 days and their main objective would be to get a string of players playing consistently together as they build up towards the marquee event later this year.
Captain @ImRo45 wins the toss and elects to bowl first in the 1st T20I.
