West Indies' inability to bat for 50 overs has become a thorn in their flesh, proven by the point that they have been bowled out in nine of the 13 ODIs since the start of 2021. The Caribbean side has also lost 44 wickets to spin, their well-documented bugbear, in those 13 games while scoring at only 4.07 per over. In the crucial second ODI, the Windies would like to emulate what Jason Holder and Fabian Allen did in the series opener, dealing with each ball from the spinners on its merit and not being overly defensive or aggressive in approach.
