Virat Kohli’s 100th Test is set to be played at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali rather than Bangalore, which was the designated venue earlier. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has been the virtual home ground for the former Indian captain because of his 14-year association with the local IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and it could have been a fitting setting for the landmark game. As per the original itinerary, the series would have started with a Test in Bangalore followed by another Test and a T20I in Mohali with the last two T20Is taking place in Dharamsala and Lucknow respectively.
