Apart from Ahmedabad and Kolkata, the games were initially scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram as well. The board has limited the series to just a couple of venues in order to cut down the movement of the teams, officials, broadcasters and other stakeholders.
