Janneman Malan struggled a wee bit at the start, but found his feet through the innings to achieve an illustrious distinction. No male cricketer has made more runs than Malan after a dozen ODI innings. He’s reached fifty in six of his knocks in the format so far, the latest coming against India in the second ODI at Boland Park in Paarl. He’s used his feet well, swept against the spinners and played second fiddle to Quinton de Kock in the imposing 132-run opening partnership.
