Marais Erasmus will become only the third South African umpire to officiate in a century of ODIs when he will supervise proceedings in the first match between the Proteas and India on Wednesday. The 57-year-old Erasmus, arguably the best umpire in the world, will join the duo of Rudi Koertzen and David Orchard when he steps out at Boland Park in Paarl for his milestone assignment. Erasmus has been plying his trade at the highest level since 2007 and has also been the man in the center durring 70 Tests, 35 T20Is and 18 Women’s T20Is.
