Defending champions Bangladesh began their 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup campaign on a dismal note with a crushing seven-wicket defeat against England in their Group A match at the Warner Park in St Kitts on Sunday. An insipid batting performance from Bangladesh saw them get rolled out for a paltry 97 in 35.2 overs. In reply, Jacob Bethel and James Rew scored 44 and 26 not out respectively and put up a 65-run alliance for the third wicket to take their team to 98-3 in 25.1 overs.
