The only saving grace has been the 49-run stand shared between Dawid Malan and Joe Root, who have both returned to the hut. The former was strangled down the legside, while the England skipper failed to cope up with a nip-backer. Their batting has been shoddy throughout the series, and the most recent collapse has left the visitors staring down the barrel yet again.
