Former skipper Shakib Al Hasan on Wednesday lavished praises on the Bangladesh team following their historic win over New Zealand in the first Test at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. The star all-rounder said that his team’s epoch-making victory in the first Test against New Zealand has helped debunk the myth that it’s a team relying on only five experienced campaigners, referring to the seniors – Mashrafee bin Mortaza, Shakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim – who have been central to the performance of the Asian nation over the last decade.
