(Video) Onus on Vihari, Shardul to stretch Indian lead past 200

At Lunch on the third day, the Wanderers Test is hanging in the balance. It wasn’t so at the end of the first hour with both Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane on song, getting some much-needed runs under their belt. Both went past their fifties, but just as the match seemed to be slipping out of South Africa’s grasp, Rabada came up with an inspired spell and prised out Rahane, Pujara and Rishabh Pant.

R Ashwin played a few shots and was unfortunate to be strangled down leg. India are effectively 161 for 6 and it’s not an entirely comfortable position to be in. A lot hinges on Hanuma Vihari and Shardul Thakur if India are to go past the 200-run mark. The hosts though will look to blow away the tail as soon as possible.
