Ebadot Hossain ripped through the cream of New Zealand’s batting unit to arrest a six-for and power the visitors to an epoch-making eight-wicket victory against the World Test Champions at Bay Oval. New Zealand would rue the fact that they were skittled out for 328 after being in firm command at 227 for 3 in the first innings. Bangladesh did lose Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain in their puny chase but a target of 40 was never going to be daunting for the Asian nation once New Zealand collapsed for 169.
