The plug has been pulled on the ODI series between USA and Ireland due to COVID-19 related concerns. Two members of the Ireland camp’s support staff tested positive, as did several partners of players. Ireland, who are due to play a series against West Indies, are scheduled to depart from Florida to Kingston, Jamaica on December 31. However, the two members of the support staff who tested positive will stay back in Florida to serve their isolation period.
We are all devastated at today’s news of the cancellation of the ODI Series
Our huge thanks to everyone at Cricket Ireland, all of the fans who turned out in record numbers during the T20I series and to all our players, volunteers, staff & stakeholders for supporting the series pic.twitter.com/Y5P3MmSpxb
