England needed to bat out the fifth day of the Adelaide Test in order to salvage what looks like an improbable draw, but the wicket of Ollie Pope early in the day has dashed their hopes. Pope was unsure whether to play or leave, and just hung his bat at it eventually, giving way to a thick edge as Steve Smith at second slip did the rest.
