India are looking in fine fettle for the task ahead. The Wanderers will host the New Year’s Test between India and South Africa beginning on January 3, Cricket South Africa confirmed on Monday, December 6, while announcing the updated itinerary. Cape Town has traditionally hosted the new year’s Test in the South African summer but according to Cricbuzz, logistical issues force the shift in venue. Following the conclusion of the Test series, which will count towards the World Test Championship, the two teams will move to Paarl to play two ODIs on January 19 and 21. The tour will then conclude with the final ODI back in Cape Town.
