Joe Root’s men were also fined 100 per cent of their match fees after they went down by nine wickets inside four days. England are now sixth on the WTC points table with nine points, with just a solitary win and three defeats to their name. Their percentage points have also sunk to a meager 15.
The WTC playing conditions state that teams would be docked one point – and each player 20% of their match fees – for each over they fall short of after adjusting for time allowances #Ashes https://t.co/TwhRRUPXIO
