Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan is keen on welcoming former skipper Mashrafe Mortaza as a mentor for the national team. According to Cricbuzz, Mortaza, ODI captain Tamim Iqbal and the BCB president met at the president’s box during the second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dhaka to mull over the matter. Tamim has publicly stated that he would be pleased to have Mortaza as a mentor during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
