(Photo) Shaun Tait quits as Afghanistan’s fast-bowling consultant

Only a day after Lance Klusener decided not to extend his Afghanistan coaching contract, Shaun Tait on Wednesday quit as the team’s fast-bowling consultant with immediate effect. Klusener announced his decision to step down on Monday but will see out his contract, which runs until the end of the calendar year. The former Australia pacer, who is a Level 2 certified coach from Cricket Australia, was contracted on a five-month period by Afghanistan Cricket Board in August. Tait had also signed a deal with Indian domestic side Puducherry as their bowling coach, shortly afterwards.
