Sri Lankan spinners scripted a magnificent turnaround to keep the scale in the balance at the end of the third day of the Galle Test. Ramesh Mendis spun his way to six wickets to keep West Indies to 253 before the hosts finished the day at 46/2, just 3 runs behind at the draw of stumps. It was Veerasammy Permaul and Kyle Mayers who frustrated the hosts before Tea and enabled West Indies to a slim lead of 49, even as Mendis, Praveen Jayawickrama and Lasith Embuldeniya picked all ten wickets to fall.
