Umesh Yadav has broken the stubborn stand right after the lunch break. In fact, it was the first ball after the interval. The plan was to bang it in short and it has worked for India. Umesh dig one from round the wicket and William Somerville’s nervy pull ended up in the hands of Shubman Gill at fine leg. India needed that wicket desperately after Somerville and Tom Latham played out the morning session to guide New Zealand to 79/1 at Lunch.
