(Photo) Somerville, Latham take New Zealand to Lunch unscathed

Nightwatchman William Somerville and Tom Latham have done a fantastic job in negotiating the Indian attack in the morning session of the final day in Kanpur. The pair shared an unbeaten 76-run stand to frustrate the hosts, although the wicket doesn’t seem to have too many demons in it, unlike the typical fifth-day pitch in the subcontinent. India are in desperate need of a breakthrough as New Zealand march into Lunch unscathed at 79/1 after 35 overs. Somerville is batting diligently on 36 while Latham has worked his way to 35.
