Queensland had slipped behind early in the chase as they were reduced to 38/3, but Renshaw and Max Bryant turned the game around with a scorching counterattack. They put on 177 in just 158 balls with Renshaw marmalizing 5 sixes and 15 fours in his 109-ball stay. The left-hander saw Queensland home after Bryant fell to give them their second win in four games.
