Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of Bangladesh’s first Test against Pakistan in Chattogram, scheduled to start on Friday. As per ESPN Cricinfo, Shakib apparently failed to recover from the hamstring injury he sustained during the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh’s chief selector Minhajul Abedin said that Shakib’s injury might take longer to heal, which could mean that the star all-rounder might miss the entire Test series against Pakistan.
