New Zealand were struggling to keep up with the asking rate around the halfway mark but Jimmy Neesham walked in and broke the shackles straightaway. Daryl Mitchell had not been able to find any sort of rhythm in the earlier half of his innings, but he switched gears at the end to power New Zealand over the line in a pulsating 167-run chase. He hit a crucial six off Rashid in the 18th over and then began the penultimate over, from Chris Woakes, with a 2,6 and 6. It was effectively over right there. The big man sealed the dear with a four past short fine. New Zealand are ecstatic to have reached their maiden final in T20 World Cup history.
#NZ into #T20WorldCup final – #England are out!
Mitchell (73no off 48) hits back-to-back sixes off Woakes and then clinches victory with a four 🇳🇿
Agony for #England, ecstasy for #NZ, who win by five wickets with an over to spare 👏
