Tim Southee cleaned up Babar Azam with a brilliant slower ball after the Pakistan openers had managed a steady start in a modest chase of 135. With that prized scalp, Southee became the third bowler to pick 100 T20I wickets. New Zealand haven’t allowed Pakistan to get off to a flyer and even got rid of Fakhar Zaman in the 8th over, with Ish Sodhi’s slider pinning him plumb on the back pad. The onus is now on the in-form Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Hafeez to take Pakistan over the line.
