(Video) Clumsy Namibia make a hash of two run-out attempts in one ball

Namibia made a meal of two attempts at a run-out during their T20 World Cup 2021 clash against Ireland. Simi Singh dabbed the ball a tad wider of bowler David Wiese and the batters took off for a risky single. Wiese had a go at the stumps but couldn’t hit the bull’s eye and ended up conceding an overthrow, with the wicketkeeper beaten by the waywardness of the underarm flick. The batters pinched another couple of runs but there was a clear run-out opportunity at the non-striker’s end on the third. However, the fielder bungled up in collecting the throw from the keeper’s end, leaving the Namibia skipper with a wry smile plastered on his face.
